Lladro Lingam Limited Edition
In Hindu religion, a Lingam is a symbolic representation of the God Shiva, used for worship in temples and shrines.
Matte porcelain with touches of gloss and the use of various enamels. Note the golden luster on the back of the cobra’s head and in other parts of the piece, contrasting with the dark color of the overall decoration.Worth noting are the handmade flowers.
The Shiva Lingam is placed in the center of the innermost sanctuary in every temple to Shiva in the last two thousand years. It has been worshipped as a vertical stone, that grew directly from the ground and is supremely sacred. It can be seen and worshipped anywhere. Hindu religion tells how the goddess Parvati fashioned a Lingam from sand to worship Shiva. In this sense, it is a symbol of sexuality and virility. The Lingam helps us to overcome any situation that gets in the way of our spiritual growth.
This piece can be bought individually and also as an optional complement to the piece Lord Shiva (ref. 01001981).
